Cheerleading: CHEER Colorado
Colorado’s chapter of the Pride Cheerleading Association. CHEER Colorado is composed of volunteer cheerleaders who raise spirits, awareness, and funds for people living with life-challenging conditions in the LGBT community and beyond. They perform at Pride celebrations and other events.
Cycling: Crank it UP Women’s Cycling Group
Crank It UP! is a lesbian cycling group that welcomes riders of all abilities and fitness levels. All you need is a joy for biking and a sense of adventure for traveling on 2 wheels! This is an all-volunteer organization collectively led by the group members. Their goal is to promote biking for both fun and fitness and to build a supportive community for women around cycling.
OUTspokin’ is a GLBT cycling organization. Bicyclists of all abilities train together and participate in cycling events throughout Colorado and the United States. OUTspokin’ focuses on touring rather than racing. Their members have registered as a group and participated in events including the Elephant Rock Century, Wyoming’s Tour de Prairie, the MS150, the Courage Classic, Ride the Rockies, Triple Bypass, and the Emily Griffith Road Ramble, as well as participated in various AIDS Vaccine Rides.
Cycling: Rocky Mountain Bicycle Boys
Rocky Mountain Bicycle Boys is comprised mainly of gay mountain bikers, but the club is very open and welcomes both men and women of any sexual orientation who are interested in off-road riding. If RMBB can bring people together one trail at a time, then so much the better. As part of their open philosophy, anyone is welcome to participate in all club events. So come, ride, and share a beer.
Cycling: Team Colorado AIDS Lifecycle

Team Colorado ALC works to to make a difference in the lives of people living with HIV & AIDS by providing an opportunity for all team members to raise money and ride in the annual 7-day AIDS/Lifecycle bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and creating a community for participants. They also cycle to increase awareness about HIV & AIDS, both locally and globally.
The Rocky Mountain Rainbeaus are an all inclusive, all levels, high energy, square dance club based in Denver. It doesn’t matter whether you’re gay, lesbian, bi, transgender, or straight. Dances take place mostly at the Washington Street Community Center, and classes start up in the fall. Darts: Mile-Hi Bullseye Dart League
Mile-Hi Bullseye Dart League is Denver’s only GLBTQ soft tip dart league. More than 20 teams compete weekly in venues around Denver. MHBDL also works with their players and venue partners to raise money for deserving community charities. All are welcome to come and have a fun night out!
MHBDL also organizes the annual Flights Over the Rockies Tournament, an amateur GLBT darts tournament with participants from around the Midwest, Great Plains, and West.
Flag Football: Denver Gay and Lesbian Flag Football League(DGLFFL)
The DGLFFL is a vibrant community of sport, diversity, fun and friendship. Through football, the league promotes community through healthy athletic competition. DGLFFL’s mission is to foster community through sport and to promote positive social and athletic enjoyment of flag football among the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender people and straight allies living in Denver and surrounding communities.
Ice Hockey: Colorado Climax
Colorado Climax is Colorado’s first and only GLBTQ ice hockey team. Teams play in Div C8 at the IceCentre in Westminster, CO. Games are typically on Fridays and Saturday evenings.
Kickball: Gay Kickball – Denver

Gay Kickball – Denver is a league for LGBTQ+ kickball teams, and part of a national kickball movement. They organize 10-week seasons in Spring, Summer, and Fall. After games, enjoy their weekly post-game party. They welcome both individuals (free agents) and teams to sign up and join the fun.
The Colorado Gay Rodeo Association (CGRA) is the oldest of more than 21 gay rodeo associations in North America. The CGRA hosts the annual of the Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo in Golden, Colorado. CGRA aims to elevate the image of women and men in the sports field of rodeo and to promote the Country/ Western lifestyle.
Roller Derby: Rocky Mountain Rollergirls
This is Denver’s original all-women, flat-track roller derby league. The Rocky Mountain Rollergirls are a group of vibrant, diverse, and fearless athletes. RMRG has eight teams under its umbrella, including traveling, home, and rookie teams.

Denver Roller Derby, originally known as the Denver Roller Dolls, was founded December 2005. This women’s league has eight teams under its umbrella, including traveling, home, and junior teams. They also have an affiliated men’s team, Denver Ground Control
Rugby: Colorado RUSH (Men’s)
Colorado RUSH Rugby Football Club invites amateur athletes in the Greater Denver area to participate competitively in the classic game of rugby in an inclusive, multicultural environment. RUSH welcomes new players of any age with any level of sporting experience to participate.
Denver Black Ice Women’s Rugby Football Club (WRFC) is a Division 1 women’s rugby team in the Rocky Mountain Rugby Football Union.
Running, Walking, & Track: Colorado Frontrunners
Colorado Frontrunners is a running and walking club for the LGBTQ community and their friends, and is one of more than 100 International Frontrunners clubs around the world. CFR hosts weekly runs and walks in Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs. Seasonally, you can find them running trails at various locations throughout the Front Range. Runners and walkers of all abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities are welcome.

Softball: Denver Area Softball League
The Denver Area Softball League offers an adult amateur summer softball league inclusive to all, especially members of the gay and lesbian community. They offer both Women’s and Open Divisions.
Softball: Greater Denver Area Sports Association
The Greater Denver Area Sports Association is an LGBTQA+ sports association/league that believes in the spirit of both team and individual sports started in 2018. Their initial seasons are focused on developing a softball league.
Swimming: Colorado SQUID
Swimming Queers United in Denver (SQUID) is Denver’s LGBTQ swimming team. SQUID members range from top-notch competitive and fitness swimmers, open water swimmers and triathletes to swimmers that like the friendly atmosphere of our team, but never compete. Outside of the pool, SQUIDs often share dinner after practice or brunch on Saturdays and have an array of social activities throughout the year. All are welcome, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, to our workouts. SQUIDs participate in local meets with other masters teams, and national and international competitions with other lesbian/gay swim teams.
Tennis: Denver Area Tennis Enthusiasts
DATE is a LGBT tennis group in Denver for tennis players of all abilities, backgrounds, and orientations. All genders are welcome. Currently, members use the DATE Facebook group to organize games amongst themselves on an ad hoc basis; this group stopped meeting weekly in 2017.
Volleyball: Colorado Gay Volleyball Association
CGVA aims to promote the pursuit of competitive volleyball in the Colorado GLBT community through a balance of athletic and social activities, including recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and development of leagues and tournaments to benefit all individuals.
Wrestling: Denver Wrestling Club
Denver Wrestling Club is Colorado’s only freestyle/folkstyle/greco-roman wrestling club catering to adults 18+ who have an interest in learning and practicing the sport of amateur wrestling. Everyone is welcome to join and wrestle with us, irrespective of skill level, age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or physical disability. Beginners are especially welcome to join and learn the sport.

National and International Sporting Organizations
Federation of Gay Games (FGG)
Founded in 1982, FGG is the organizing body of the Gay Games, the original quadrennial LGBTQ and gay-friendly sporting and cultural event. Team Colorado is a full participating member organization of FGG.
GLISA formed in 2006 and produces the World Outgames as a quadrennial sport, culture, and human rights event. It also supports continental sporting events like the North American Outgames. Team Colorado is not a member organization of GLISA. GLISA become immediately following the implosion of the 2017 Miami World OutGames.
EGLSF is the organization behind the Eurogames sporting competitions, which take place every year in which there is not a Gay Games or a World Outgames.
